Happy Divers Marbella & IDC College is the highest rated PADI dive center in Spain – it is the only PADI 5* Career Development Center (CDC), 5* IDC Center and the first ever National Geographic and PADI TecRec dive center in Spain. Furthermore PADI EMEA is doing the Instructor Examinations (I.E.) here.
The IDC College is dedicated to diver training, career programs and instructor training, setting very high standards in customer service. Divers and instructor candidates can be sure that their training will be done at PADI`s highest 5* CDC standards and National Geographic`s strict environmental rules. Divers are taught from beginner level to instructor level and beyond.
Instructor Development Course (IDC)
The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the core of PADI Instructor training. The first portion is the Assistant Instructor course followed by the Open Water Scuba Instructor program. The IDC introduces you to the entire PADI System of diver education and concentrates on further developing your abilities as a professional dive educator.
What do you need to start?
To qualify for training you must:
| Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or a PADI Assistant Instructor or | |
| Be an instructor with another training organization for at least six months | |
| Be certified as an Emergency First Response Instructor * | |
| Be at least 18 years old | |
| Be certified as a diver for at least six months | |
| Have 100 logged dives that include experience in night, deep and navigation diving to participate in the Instructor Development Course. | |
| Have proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months. The Emergency First Response course meets this requirement | |
| Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months |
* If you not already Emergency First Response Instructor this course can also be done during or after
the IDC
IDC Express
The cost and time saving program - Complete IDC program - full time.
This program is addressed to well prepared candidates, who have already teaching experience.
| These persons could be: |
| • Instructors of other training organizations, who want to become PADI instructor. |
| • Assistent instructors who are trained in a PADI 5* IDC center and/or who want to refresh their knowledge. |
| • Experienced Divemasters who have been assisting for some time in diver training. |
| Your advantages: |
| • You do the entire IDC program to refresh your knowledge and/or to get detailed insight info about the PADI system. |
| • Your existing experience will be credited by a cheaper course fee. |
|
• Your Instructor Examination (IE) will take place right after the IDC completion at Marbella Divers Marbella`s facilities. |
